Parenting Tips: Know How To Enhance Parents' Intuition; Book Review For 'What Great Parents Do'

Parents should learn how to enhance their intuition. But surprisingly, even when you don't study it, you will find your parental instincts kicking in as soon as you need it. This means that you might not be prepared for something that parents should do when dealing with their kids, but for some reason, you know what to do.

Although this could happen a lot of times, it won't hurt that you arm yourself with some knowledge when it comes to enhancing your parenting skills. In an article published by The Washington Post, they suggested a good book to help parents keep up with the changing times. This will make parenting not just easier, but also fun and less stressful.

This book called "What Great Parents Do," has a lot of tips that would enhance your parental instincts. Erica Reischer, the author, is a professor and a clinical psychologist who deals and has dealt with a lot of issues that parents face when raising their kids. One of the tips she shared is that parents should be firm in whatever it is that they told their kids to do. It is best that parents put more action than words when it comes to their parenting style.

These things won't just establish your image as parents or someone in authority to your children, but this could also make your bond with them even stronger. Children would be able to respect their parents if these things are established from the beginning. It would be easier for them to open up, especially issues that they think they won't be able to handle on their own.
