Tom Clancy’s ‘The Division’ 1.4 Patch Latest News Update: Ubisoft Delaying ‘Survival’ DLC To Fix Core Game? Bug Crisis Sparks Game’s End

For the past several months, Tom Clancy's "The Division" has been both widely praised and criticized. But as "The Division" technical and content problems continues, game experts hinted the possibility for the game's end in spite of Ubisoft's efforts to prioritize launching the massive 1.4 update that will fix and make necessary changes in the game rather than releasing another downloadable content (DLC).

Despite its record-breaking sales and popularity, Tom Clancy's "The Division" was strongly panned due to the bugs and glitches that have plagued the game in almost six months of its existence. In fact, even "The Division" developers have recently admitted that the game is quite frustrating.

Due to the game's repetitive mission routines, unsatisfactory end-game content and ill-conceived PvP mode, Ubisoft announced that the release date of Tom Clancy's "The Division" second paid expansion known as "Survival" DLC has been postponed until later this year. According to EnGadget, the delay will pave the way for the release of the massive 1.4 patch, which is set to be implemented in October.

With that said, Tom Clancy's "The Division" third premeditated DLC release called, "Last Stand," will also be delayed until early 2017. As for "The Division" 1.4 update, it reportedly aims to fix the core game and bring significant changes into the game, including weapon and gear sets balancing, inventory management, loot drops, Dark Zone and PvP balancing and enemy scaling, Forbes noted.

Based on Tom Clancy's "The Division" blog post, the game developers acknowledged the fact that the never-ending bugs, issues and glitches have affected the overall experience of gamers. That's why, Ubisoft decided to make several adjustments, especially on its development timetable for the release of its patches and game expansions such as "Survival" and "Last Stand."

Tom Clancy's "The Division" team also stressed that its upcoming 1.4 update, which will be released in October," will be independently launched and will not be part of the "Survival" patch. The team also explained the reason for the delay, saying their new development schedule will allow them to boost the core experience and quality of the game before the new content additions and future updates.

Meanwhile, Tom Clancy's "The Division" servers recently underwent a three-hour maintenance. As reported by GamingBolt, the Aug. 25 maintenance fixed two glitches in the game - the daily missions bug and the AlphaBridge's four piece bonus issue, where the Sawed-Off Shotguns, as well as all sidearm talents, were unable to benefit from the said bonus.
