Miracle Baby Born With 2 Percent Brain Function Starts Preschool; Doctors Amazed By Brain Scans Showing Full Improvements

A 4-year-old boy is defying the odds and doctors are amazed by his improvements. Dubbed as a miracle baby for being born with only two percent brain function, Noah Wall, from Abbeytown in Cumbria in the U.K., is about to start preschool this fall.

Mirror reports that when Noah was born to parents Shelly and Rob Wall, hopes diminished after doctors revealed his actual condition. With only two percent of his brain working, Noah suffered from paralysis from the chest down to his feet. His condition is known as spina bifida. As an infant, he also had water in his brain, or hydrocephalus, which worsened his prognosis.

Amidst tests and surgeries, the boy's funeral was already being planned as the Walls expected the inevitable. Yet, fate had better things in store for their miracle baby.

According to The Huffington Post, Noah's brain started showing signs of improvement in 2015, which surprised even his doctors. His brain scans showed that it has become fully functioning. Experts apparently cannot explain what caused this.

"It's a miracle, we are completely baffled," said the boy's parents, who also expressed admiration for their son's determination. "Noah will show us exactly what he's capable of and just what he wants to do in life."

With Noah's progress, his parents have opted to send their son to a mainstream preschool, instead of a special school. By doing this, they hope Noah will be able to enjoy the same opportunities as any regular child.

The 4-year-old will be attending a small school with few students in every class, which should help him manage with the changes. Noah's mom has been homeschooling her son prior to this, in between hydrotherapy, physiotherapy and regular medical check-ups.

Shelly Wall also said that they will be taking it slow in school, even if this means Noah might only be able to go to class twice a week. On the other hand, that might not be an issue at all as the boy has been excited about attending classes. He's got his school items ready and he's looking forward to playing football in PE class. The miracle baby is indeed winning against the odds.
