‘General Hospital’ Cast & Spoilers: Jeff Webber Coming Back To Port Charles? Jesica Ahlberg Returns

A recent casting call on "General Hospital" has sparked rumors that Jeff Webber, Liz's father, is coming back to Port Charles. Meanwhile, Jesica Ahlberg is set to appear again on the daytime soap.

"General Hospital" has released a casting call for a male in his late 50s to early 60s, according to Soaps.com. The recurring role wants a Caucasian, handsome, dynamic and charismatic man. There was no name revealed in the casting call for the character. However, based on the descriptions, many speculate that it is a recast for Jeff Webber, a role that was formerly played by Richard Dean Anderson from 1976 to 1981.

Having a new Jeff Webber would fit in the current storyline about Hayden Barns (Rebecca Budig) being Liz's (Rebecca Herbst) sister. Spoilers courtesy of Celebrity Dirty Laundry said that even though Naomi Dreyfus (Robin Riker) asked Franco (Roger Howarth) not to tell Liz the truth about Hayden being her sister, Franco wouldn't listen. Naomi said it would surely be a devastating news for Liz knowing that his father cheated on her mother. However, before Franco could tell Liz the secret, Liz went into code blue.

The secret would eventually be revealed to Liz, and Jeff would better be there to answer all her questions. Who knows there might be other secrets that will emerge? Plus, Jeff Webber would want to stay in town to get to know the daughter he wasn't aware exists for over 30 years.

When Soap Opera Digest asked co-head writers Shelly Altman and Jean Passanante about the possibility of having the character back to Port Charles now that it has been revealed that Jeff is Hayden's father, they only said, "That would be great, wouldn't it?" via We Love Soaps.

Meanwhile, Jesica Ahlberg is heading back to Port Charles and will appear again as Darby Collette. CDL spoilers tease that she will bring some trouble for Kiki and Morgan. Fans can expect to see her on the canvass on Tuesday, Sept. 13.

"General Hospital" airs Mondays to Fridays at 2:30 p.m. on ABC.
