'Supergirl' Season 2 Cast News & Air Date: Man of Steel Dies In One Episode?

If there is one thing everyone is looking forward to the most in "Supergirl" season 2, it is that for the first time since "Smallville" ended in 2011, we will be seeing Clark Kent on the small screen. This time played by former "Teen Wolf" star Tyler Hoechlin, Superman is said to appear at least two episodes in "Supergirl" season 2.

Back in June, Variety reported that Hoechlin, famous for his roles in "Teen Wolf," "Road To Perdition" and "7th Heaven," was cast to play the latest person to don the Man of Steel costume. Before "Supergirl" season 2, Superman only appeared on the superhero show as a silhouette so his casting then was a welcome development.

But it looks like Hoechlin's appearance on "Supergirl" season 2 is only going to be a short-term engagement as it is rumored that he will die in one of the episodes. That would mean 2016 will be a devastating year for Superman's onscreen personas as he also (spoiler alert!) died in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" in March.

Back when "Supergirl" debuted, the producers were already vocal about how they would like the show to be only about Kara Danvers' superhero alter ego, Cinema Blend reported. This implies that what they plan for Hoechlin is going to be temporary. Whether he will die in one episode, though, is a question that will only be answered once "Supergirl" season 2 premieres.

"Supergirl" season 2 will be seen for the first time on Monday, October 10, at 8 pm ET on the CW. As one of the most popular series on television, Parent Herald will be covering the updates on "Supergirl" season 2 in the coming weeks.

Will you be watching "Supergirl" season 2? How do you think will Tyler Hoechlin do as Superman in "Supergirl" season 2? Will Superman indeed die in one of the episodes of "Supergirl" season 2?
