NBA Trade Rumors: Cleveland Cavaliers Trading Kyrie Irving For Spurs' Veteran Tony Parker? NOT True, Cavs Keeping Irving!

NBA trade rumors have gone unbelievable. According to reports, Cleveland Cavaliers is trading its point guard Kyrie Irving for San Antonio Spurs veteran PG Tony Parker. Could there be any truth with this?

GameNGuide reported that Spurs' Tony Parker wants to join an elite team. The report added that Parker, who used to be Spurs' big three along with Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili could be joining LeBron James in Cleveland Cavaliers.

However, the report failed to link any sources from its claims. Thus, one should take this with a grain of salt. Contrary to GameNGuide's claims, KSAT reported that Tony Parker is playing for San Antonio Spurs until 2021.

Tony Parker told the publication that he wants to end his Spurs career with flying colors. The 34-year-old player's deal with San Antonio Spurs will expire in 2018 but Parker already announced that he wants to play for San Antonio Spurs in the next five years.

Meanwhile, Yibada had a misleading headline suggesting that Cleveland Cavaliers is replacing Kyrie Irving with Tony Parker. The report debunked the earlier claims of GameNGuide and did not state any report how Cavs' point guard is linked to the reports of Parker joining the Cavs.

Instead, the report stressed that Cleveland Cavaliers and LeBron James are very pleased with Kyrie Irving's performance and there is no chance that the team will replace Irving.

At the time, Cleveland Cavaliers is feeling the pressure of upgrading their roster. Cavs earned its first NBA title last season after a tough battle with Golden State Warriors. However, the current champ's chance of winning again, this time, is slim after Kevin Durant decided to join the Warriors.

Cavs already said that they are not broken and need not fixing. They intend to keep every key player that worked for its first NBA title, including LeBron James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving. However, at the time, their shooting guard J.R. Smith has remained in the free agency and has not re-signed with the team yet.
