Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Confirms Kaby Lake Will Coincide With New Tablet Release

While there is no confirmation whether Microsoft is indeed releasing its Surface Pro 5 but recent reports have also surfaced indicating that it is under works. Surface Pro 4 was released in 2015 and fans are awaiting if Microsoft can still create a great tablet this time of the year.

The current Surface Pro has already made its point that it can play well with the big guys in the world of tablets when iPad is still the reigning champion. CNET reported that Surface Pro 4 has already solidified its position as the gold bearer for Windows tablets.

Now, it is time for Surface Pro 5, and while Microsoft has not confirmed the release of a possible tablet following Surface Pro 4, fans are clamoring for the next tablet from Windows. A possible October announcement could be held with the upcoming Surface Pro 5 to be released in spring of 2017 or could also be released in March 2017.

The upcoming Surface Pro 5 is also reported to sport the new Intel Kaby Lake processor replacing Skylake, 16 GB of RAM, and an Ultra HD display. It will also come with 2k Display and another 4K display with longer battery life.

Kitguru reported that the production of Surface Pro 5 will start by the end of the year and the possible release will be in the first quarter of 2017. The release will also come in line with the release of Kaby Lake in early 2017.

A possible price for Surface Pro 5 would start the same with Surface Pro 4 with a starting price of $900 for the Surface Pro 5's Core, Intel Core i7 for $1000 and i7 Extreme version for $1600. While there is still no confirmation to when Microsoft would be releasing the Surface Pro 5 but fans would just have to wait a bit more and hope that all our expectations of the upcoming tablet would be great like the last one.
