Surface Pro 5 Release Date & Specs: Bigger Screen, Wireless Charging With Kaby Lake This Early 2017

The release of a possible Surface Pro 5 this 2016 is what most people are talking about. With the success of the Surface Pro 4, there is no doubt that its successor will also become successful.

While fans wait for a possible Surface Pro 5 this year, however, reports are pointing to a possible 2017 spring release. This is to coincide with the release of Kay Lake that will also happen next year.

When the Surface Pro 5 comes out, it will also bring some of its friends with it, according to Tech Radar. It will be coming the Surface Book 2, the possible Surface Phone and also the unconfirmed Surface all-in-one PC.

Besides from the possible 14-nanometer Kaby Lake processor that the Surface Pro 5 would come with, it is also expected that there will be an upgrade with its Surface Pen. PC Advisor noted that the Surface Pen may have an updated rechargeable battery that can charge wirelessly. The current Surface Pen is not rechargeable as it needs an alkaline AAAA battery.

The Surface Pro 5 will also come with a 2K and 4K screen and will start offering a 16GB of RAM with the Surface Pro 4 having the same RAM. There are also reports that there is a possibility of the Surface Pro 5 getting a USB-C port similar to what the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 would have.

While the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 has already made its name but consumers are also expecting more from the upcoming Surface Pro 5. Fans are waiting for the upcoming tablet to have an even longer battery life since Microsoft Surface Pro was not able to deliver its promise of 9 hours of video playback although it can still play for 5 hours and 15 minutes which is considerably good for a tablet. Consumers are also expecting that the upcoming Surface Pro 5 to have a bigger screen although the Surface Pro is already big.

While there are still a couple of months before the release of the Surface Pro 5 but it is definite that when it comes out, it will have all the things that we need.
