NBA Trade Rumors: Miami Heat Considering Trading Goran Dragic After Chris Bosh Health Setback? Other Fans Think NBA Team Should Not

Miami Heat has not issued any statement yet as to what they plan for the upcoming 2016-2017 NBA season after Chris Bosh was not allowed to get back in court after he was not cleared from his physical examination. Accordingly, the NBA team is considering to trade Goran Dragic in order to come up with a great roster but fans are saying it is time for Miami Heat to focus on the player rather than let him go.

Sportsrageous reported that Miami Heat is considering buying out Bosh's contract since his blood clots remain to be a problem. Recently, doctors found more blood clotting in the lungs of Bosh making it all the more impossible to play for Miami Heat this season.

Miami Heat still owes Bosh $76 million and it has been a hearsay that the NBA team might resort to the stretch provision if they will not be able to use the player. Bosh is signed with Miami Heat for a five-year $118.7 million contract. Bosh has not been able to play for two seasons since his health condition deteriorated and he could be forced to retire if his welfare continues to be an issue.

If and when Miami Heat is intent to let Bosh resign and pay the remaining money from his contract via a stretch provision, the team has to follow guidelines adhering to the collective bargaining agreement. In the agreement, NBA and the players' association will jointly select an independent doctor who will look into Bosh's condition. If the doctor determines that the player has a "career-ending" condition, Bosh would have to retire.

That is also good for Miami Heat since they would have an extra $42 million in the salary cap for the next offseason. However, if Bosh is deemed fit to play, he could still play for the NBA but not with the Miami Heat.

As for Dragic being traded, Miami Heat reportedly does not want the player to run the team that is why they are willing to look for another player to be acquired. Recently, Dragic said that he is ready to lead Miami Heat alongside Hassan Whiteside as they have developed great chemistry during the offseason.

Fansided seems to agree with Dragic as the publication reported that losing both Dwayne Wade and Bosh has developed problems for the Miami heat. However, if Miami Heat would consider building the team around Dragic since he said in a recent interview that it is much different now since Wade and Bosh are no longer people to count on in order to be top contenders for the NBA 2016-2017 season.

Dragic added, "I need to take care of a couple things - try to be more aggressive, try to score and try to get everybody else involved. I already started or felt like that last season in the playoffs."

In the last NBA season, Dragic averaged 14.1 points and 5.8 assists.
