'Iron Man 4' Will Have New Lead Taking Tony Stark's Spot; 2019 Premiere All Set?

Rumors of an "Iron Man 4" without Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark has started to spread like wildfire online. Although Marvel Studios has yet to confirm whether a fourth solo movie for genius philanthropist is really underway, waiting fans have started to speculate on the plot of the new standalone flick.

New rumors have surfaced suggesting that RDJ has officially been axed as Tony Stark. According to recent "Iron Man 4" rumors from Christian Daily, the fourth installment could most likely introduce a new lead to replace RDJ. The publication claimed that the main character for the new movie will be Harley Keener, the boy who helped Tony Stark in "Iron Man 3."

While the rumors sound more baseless than true, many are still worried to see RDJ exit as the iconic Tony Stark. As many fans can agree, the role was somehow made for him, and moviegoers can not imagine anyone playing the lead should "Iron Man 4" get the green light.

The publication further speculated that "Iron Man 4" could already have a tentative release date. If predictions are accurate, fans will see the return of the superhero in the Iron Man suit on the big screen in 2019.

Meanwhile, previous reports have already suggested that Marvel is not keen on getting RDJ back to play Tony Stark in "Iron Man 4." As Vine Report noted, it could be possible that RDJ declined starring in another solo movie after Marvel failed to meet his salary demands.
