NBA Players Who Are On A Make-It-or-Break-It Season

Some NBA players have a bit more pressure on them going into the season than others, due to a big contract, free agency, or the need to prove themselves after a less-than-great performance in the previous year. Here are the players who need to make it big in the upcoming NBA season.

Fox Sports counted down the players who need to have a great upcoming season. First on the list is Derrick Rose, who will arguably be the most watched player this season. After the former MVP left the Chicago Bulls, he is anticipated to have a resurrection season with the Knicks, and return back to his old ways.

Next on the list is Blake Griffin. Blake Griffin and Chris Paul were supposed to carry the Los Angeles Clippers to the promised land, but after injuries multiple injuries, Griffin failed on his mission. Griffin also battled issues off the court, and hope to redeem himself this year.

Al Horford is also on the list, after making the transfer to the Celtics. He was given a big contract, with the hopes that he might bring the Celtics franchise back on top. Mike Conley is another player who was given a hefty payday, as he is entering the season as the NBA's highest paid player, according to ESPN. He will definitely need to show the Memphis Grizzlies that they made the right decision in giving him all that money.

Russell Westbrook also has plenty to prove in the upcoming season, as the weight of carrying the Oklahoma City Thunder team was placed on his shoulders after Kevin Durant's departure. Another point guard who will once again need to lead his team to glory is John Wall of the Washington Wizards. After a long summer of doubts and arguments with teammate Bradley Beal, Wall will have to show that all of that is in the past and he's ready to take charge with the Wizards in the East.

Last on the list is Draymond Green. There were plenty of reasons why the Golden State Warriors lost the NBA Finals after leading the series 3-1, and one of them is largely because of Green's absence. Green also stirred up some controversy during the summer, and now needs to make up for it this regular season.
