'Girl Meets World' News & Update: Disney Series On The Brink of Cancellation As the Ratings Took a Dip

"Girl Meets World" season 4 is yet to be confirmed as speculations emerged that the Disney series will eventually be cancelled due to low ratings. Rumours may have been sprouting everywhere, but it was revealed mentioned that the show might not even finish the 3rd season.

"Girl Meets World" is going through a rough patch as rumors of cancellation would constantly emerge. It's already been revealed that "Girl Meets World" season 3 will eventually wrap by 2017, with its first episode airing this month.

"Girl Meet World's" first season managed to hit the two million mark but gradually decreased. Show Buzz Daily revealed the show's ratings where it was revealed that "Girl Meets World" is losing millions of their viewers as the show moves forward.

"Girl Meets World" started with an average of 2.74 million on its first season. For the show's second season it then went down to 2.28 million. "Girl Meets World" season three is currently on a long hiatus, but as the show progressed their viewers dropped to a little more than 1 million.

The series' third season is already set until the early months of 2017, which gives the "Girl Meets World" actress, Rowan Blanchard a sense of security in terms of the series' future episodes. Rowan Blanchard opens up to She Knows about their thoughts of the series' possible 4th season.

She then added that she and the rest of the "Girl Meets World" casts are not yet certain as to whether they wold be able to reach season four, she then added that there's a huge possibility for the fourth season as a huge chunk of the story is still untold.

"I know as much as you do," Rowan Blanchard said. "We are hoping for a Season 4, obviously, because we want to continue our story, and I feel like it's an important story to tell. But as of right now, we just finished [filming] Season 3 and we're still waiting on the word. But we do have more episodes coming out this year that air into early 2017, so we're covered for a little bit."
