Evan Peters' Return In 'American Horror Story' Finally Airs In 'Roanoke'- Who Did He Play & Will He Be Back For More? [PHOTOS]

"American Horror Story" fan favorite Evan Peters has returned for the sixth season installment, "Roanoke," and it was quite an unforgettable entrance. Fans have been teased about his role before this big episode and speculations have come up on the internet. Wednesday's airing of "American Horror Story" finally confirmed who the actor played and as far as fan theories go, they were actually on the mark.

Evan Peters debuted as Edward Philip Mott in "American Horror Story: Roanoke's" fifth episode, which aired on Oct. 12 at 10 p.m. on FX. Vanity Fair reports that prior to the show's premiere, fans already had an inkling Evan Peter's role would be connected to Season 4 villain Dandy Mott.

The actor made his memorable entrance on "American Horror Story" wearing a wig and with a powdered face - as colonial men did in the 1700s. He also delivered quite an speech that depicted his character's personality and quirks right away. Through him, the origin of the Roanoke house was also unveiled for viewers.

Bustle reports that this could be Evan Peters' best role in the show following roles like Jimmy Darling, Kyle Spencer and Kit Walker in previous seasons of "American Horror Story." But just soon as the actor got on screen, his character died within the first ten minutes of this week's episode. Though his ghost did appear to help out Matt (Cuba Gooding Jr.) and Shelby (Sarah Paulson) from The Butcher (Kathy Bates) as his final act.

But is this really the last fans have seen of Evan Peters in "American Horror Story" Season 6? MTV reports that fans should assume that the actor's actual role is that of a re-enactment player just like Gooding and Paulson, since "Roanoke" is a story within a story. The likelihood that he will be back is possible and he could have a larger role to play in the second half of the season. However, it's still unclear what his next part will be.
