'Train To Busan' Star Gong Yoo Is Back In TVN Series 'Goblin?'

"Train To Busan" has set the standard for a highly acclaimed zombie movie. On the other hand, its main lead actor, Gong Yoo, 34, would surely fare steady landing himself another out-of-this-world role in "Goblin."

The pretty, innocent man in Gong Yoo fades away as he is set to intimidate and thrill mass audiences as a goblin. On Oct.13, a teaser was released featuring Gong Yoo, the handsome "Goblin."

Earlier, TVN released a teaser photo of the casting which also includes Yoo In-Na, Kim Go Eun, Yook Sung-jae, and Lee Dong-wook. The photo was said to be taken from the first filming on Sept. 22 at the Gochang, North Jeolla Province, South Korea.

Posted on Soompi, the teaser from TVN follows a short and eerie flashes with a warning message "Turn off the lights. [Or else] he'll come," with a slow build ups of dramatic music and flashes of Gong Yoo wearing a green loose hood. In the end of the teaser video, he warned in his low voice "You will end up meeting an angry god" in Hangul. .

From the rich and handsome cafe owner in the famous gender-bender drama "Coffee Prince," turned the good father in "Train to Busan," Gong Yoo plays the role of Kim Shin, the lonely miserable goblin who wishes to end his immortality.

For him to get rid of his elixir of life, which mundanes won't even prefer given the chance to live forever, he is set on a journey to find a human bride in the mortal World. Some of the characters were the angel of death who is suffering from amnesia (played by Lee Dong-wook), and a girl who is fated to face strange encounters (Kim Go-eun).

"Goblin" is another masterpiece from the creators of the highly acclaimed soldier-doctor love story "Descendants of the Sun" writer Kim Eun-sook and producing director Lee Eun-book. The drama will premiere on Dec.2 following the finale of the action thriller "The K2."
