'El Chapo' Judge Gunned Down In Front Of His Home In Mexico; Is the Sinola Drug Cartel Leader Responsible?

Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman may have been placed behind bars earlier this year, but one of the biggest drug cartel leaders is speculated to be responsible for the death of Vicente Antonia Bermudez Zacarias. The 37-year-old judge was shot dead near his residence last Monday.

The federal judge, Vicente Antonia Bermudez Zacarias was shot dead near his house in Mexico last Monday. Though it was not yet clear as to who's responsible for his death, speculations emerged that the man behind the Sinaloa drug cartel is responsible for his passing. The "El Chapo" judge was gunned down while he was jogging within his residential area.

 A video revealed that he was shot by two men when they run up to him from behind and shot him. As of the latest update in regards to the shootout suspects, Luis Maria Aguilar Morales stated that they are already under investigation as reported by Latino Fox News.

"We have already been in contact with the competent authorities to immediately investigate this case and have it resolved," Luis Maria Aguilar Morales, president of the Mexico Supreme Court, was quoted. "Federal judges are people who devote their lives, their personal integrity, moral and physical, to administering federal justice and are required to have the security and tranquility that their independence guarantees."

Vicente Antonia Bermudez Zacarias was appointed as the federal judge in 2013. He is involved in several crime cases including the ones for "El Chapo" and the Los Zetas cartels. According to New York Daily News, it yes unclear as to who is responsible for the judge's death as there are several drug cartel leaders that can be suspected, including Miguel Trevino who is linked to the Zetas cartel.
