A scandal could be the undoing of President Tom Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland) on "Designated Survivor." The upcoming episode, which airs on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 10 p.m., will reveal a Kirkman secret and the big twist could shake up the presidency.

After a revealing interview in the last episode, President Kirkman could be at the center of the headlines on "Designated Survivor" again if a crucial information gets leaked. It is about one of the members of his family who is hiding something, TV Guide reports.

Could this involve President Kirkman's teenage son? Leo Kirkman (Tanner Buchanan) was revealed to be dealing drugs in a previous episode of "Designated Survivor" and it's obviously going to have repercussions. But this is hardly a secret for viewers anymore, so the big twist might be about another family member.

Cinema Blend cites that the scandal on "Designated Survivor" might be referring to President Kirkman's wife, Alex (Natascha McElhone). As the ever supportive wife, Alex seems untainted but that could soon change.

Viewers might recall that the president's Chief of Staff, Aaron Shore (Adam Canto), has gone behind the president's back and hired a private investigator on "Designated Survivor" to dig up information on the Kirkmans. He thinks that the president's enemies are going to do the same thing, so he believes that doing a background check on the president is one way of protecting him.

So with the information gathered, speculations are that Shore is going to do some damage control so that the presidency isn't shaken up on "Designated Survivor." But in doing so, he's going to have to play dirty as this is the nature of politics. Will President Kirkman appreciate what his staff will do or will he get mad about it?
