'Dancing With The Stars' Former Contestant Maureen McCormick Said Show Helped Her Overcome Fear Despite Being Eliminated

Maureen McCormick is the latest person to be eliminated from the latest season of "Dancing With The Stars." She recently shared in an interview how "DWTS" helped her overcome her fear despite being disappointed with the elimination.

E! News reported that despite McCormick not being able to win the Mirrorball trophy of this season of "Dancing With The Stars," "The Brady Bunch" star said that the show was able to help her overcome her fear of dancing in front of a large number of audience.

McCormick and her partner, Artem Chigvintsev, performed tango to Bon Jovi's "You Give Love a Bad Name" on the last episode of "DWTS" and they were given a score of 28 out of 40. McCormick and her partner also participated on a team dance with Ryan Lochte and his partner Cheryl Bruke, Calvin Johnson Jr. and his partner Lindsay Arnold, and James Hinchcliffe and his partner Sharna Burgess. They all danced to the song of "The Skye Boat Song" on "Dancing With The Stars."

The actress shared with the publication that nobody ever wants to go home and be eliminated from "DWTS" because all the contestants want to keep pushing and do more dances. She also noted that she wanted to learn more things and hang out with all the other contestants who she described as beautiful, loving, and supporting. She noted that the atmosphere of "Dancing With The Stars" is incredible.

ABC News also reported that McCormick appeared on "Good Morning America" to talk about her "Dancing With The Stars" elimination. She said that when she came to the show, she said that she felt she was lucky if she survived a week, which she did.

McCormick said that she felt it was cool dancing with Chigvintsev because there were moments she just felt like floating whenever they were on the dance floor.

"DWTS" airs Mondays at 8 P.M. on ABC.
