'Pokémon GO' Halloween Event: Haunter, Zubat, Gastly And Other Rare Pokémon Monsters You Can Catch This Halloween

Halloween season has begun all over the world, and "Pokémon GO" is not going to be left behind. The instant hit augmented reality game has launched its first in-game event, which allows players to catch Pokémon monsters they won't normally find in their areas.

Haunter, Gastly, Zubat, Gengar, Golbat, Drowzee and Hypno are some of the most gruesome Pokémon monsters that have been released on your streets during the "Pokémon GO" Halloween event, which runs from Oct. 26 to Nov. 1. These critters are not normally available to "Pokémon GO" players, but developer Niantic sure has the ability to stir things up for some fun this season.

Aside from catching rare pocket monsters, "Pokémon GO" players would also get extra candies, like twice the amount they usually get when catch, hatch or transfer a Pokémon. One candy from their buddy would become four while one candy from transferring Pokémon would become two.

The new treats aim to bring back enthusiasm to the "Pokémon GO" game. The Niantic game was an instant hit when it launched, immediately topping the charts on Apple's Apps Store and Google's Play Store. However, the excitement and the popularity of the game have waned in recent weeks.

Increasing the chances of catching some rare ghost and psychic Pokémon and earning candies are hoped to encourage players to go out and play "Pokémon GO" more, which would be perfect also while they are trick or treating for the Halloween. Will it be enough to attract more players?

Unfortunately, some people don't think "Pokémon GO"'s Halloween event, it's first in-game event, is going to increase the number of players again. This is because there are no major changes that come with "Pokémon GO" Halloween update. As reported by Smart Stock News, players would like to see new features such as the trading system, player versus player (PvP) battles and Generation II Pokémon.
