Two of the latest devices from tech giants Microsoft and Apple have recently released tablets known to be top of its class. Microsoft Surface Pro 5 against Apple Ipad Pro 2, which is better?

According to Mobile & Apps, Surface Pro 5 and iPad Pro 2 are set to be released by early 2017. Both Surface Pro 5 and iPad Pro 2 are being compared to each other in order to determine the best option between both devices.

Reports suggested that Surface Pro 5 may have 12.3-inch PixelSense display which is similar to its predecessors. The Surface Pro 5 is also expected to be available in 2K and 4K screen resolutions.

The iPad Pro 2, on the other hand, is believed to come with IPS LCD display panel with three screen variants. The iPad Pro 2 screen variants will come in 12.9-inch, 9.7-inch and 10.5-inch screen sizes.

In terms of performance, the soon-to-be-launched Surface Pro 5 will be powered by sixth-generation Sky Lake processors or the upcoming Kaby Lake chipsets. The Surface Pro 5 is also expected to have different RAM capabilities with 8GB to 16GB.

For iPad Pro 2, it is said to come with the latest A10X processor which is considered to be 80 percent faster than the normal computers available currently. iPad Pro 2 will also have 4GB of RAM.

In terms of battery, the Surface Pro 5 and iPad Pro 2 are expected to have a significantly improved life. For the software, Surface Pro 5 will be using Windows 10 Redstone 2 OS whereas the iPad Pro 2 will run on iOS 10.

As added by HNGN, the Surface Pro 5 is rumored to have 16MP rear camera and 8MP for the front. The iPad Pro 2 will have 12MP true tone flash rear camera and 5MP front camera and 4K video recording capacity.

The Surface Pro 5 is reported to be more expensive as it is expected to retail at $899 USD while iPad Pro 2 at $799 US. Both iPad Pro 2 and Surface Pro 5 are definite winners in its own right, the choice now relies on the discerning customer.
