"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 is expected to be an intense season for the vampires at Mystic Falls, as this season will be its last. As seen in the latest episode of The CW series, Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Caroline (Candice King) aka "Steroline" recently got engaged.

As Carter Matt notes in its report, this led to speculations that these two will get married in the upcoming episodes of "TVD" Season 8. However, given that this show does not give characters a happy ending, there is also a possibility that either Caroline or Stefan will die.

It can be recalled that an earlier interview revealed that even actress Candice King does not think Caroline's happiness with Stefan will last long in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. This made a lot of fans worried over their favorite 'ship on the series.

Damon - Elena aka "Delena" fans are also awaiting the official announcement of Nina Dobrev's return in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. In an interview with TV Guide, series creator Julie Plec said that Damon's (Ian Somerhalder) plan has always been to become human for Elena.

"I think he was ready to do that before she went down, and he remains ready to do that," she said.

This meant that either Delena will get married or Steroline will in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. Then, there is also a possibility that none of these two couples will get their happy ending.
