'This Is Us' Season 1 Spoilers & Cast News: 'Westworld' Jimmi Simpson, Jami Gertz Drop In; Helen Hunt Directs Christmas Episode

"This Is Us" on NBC is ramping up the guest lists as it books "Westworld" actor Jimmi Simpson and Jami Gertz in upcoming episodes. The family drama has also snagged an A-list director and actress Helen Hunt, who will be helming the camera for the show's Christmas episode.

"This Is Us" will be introducing "Westworld's" Jimmi Simpson as Randall's (Sterling K. Brown) colleague, Andy Fannan. But it is still unclear when this episode will air or if Andy is a one-off character appearance as other details have not been divulged, Variety reports.

In the upcoming episode of "This Is Us," which airs this Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 9 p.m. on NBC, the show will also be introducing Kate's (Chrissy Metz) new boss, Marin. She will be played by actress Jami Gertz, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Kate will work as an event coordinator in the latest episode of "This Is Us" (Season 1 Episode 6). However, as much as it is the perfect job for her, there will be a catch, according to E! Online. The episode is entitled "Career Day" and it will also highlight Randall's apprehensions about his work, Kevin's (Justin Hartley) struggles as an actor and Jack's (Milo Ventimiglia) flashback story about his desk job.

Meanwhile, "This Is Us" will be under the direction of Oscar-winning actress Helen Hunt for its Christmas episode. Sterling K. Brown told Entertainment Tonight that the cast and crew are already in the middle of filming this. "I had a scene on Friday night that started at 5pm and we didn't finish till around three in the morning and it was just one scene," the actor dished.

"This Is Us" Christmas episode is set to air in early December, before the network shows go on its usual holiday hiatus. The NBC drama, which has been confirmed for a full season, has been one of this year's biggest new series. Keep checking back to this site for more updates about the show.
