At Season 2 finale, Rebecca Yedlin was among the humans put under cryostasis and expected to survive a massive time jump come "Wayward Pines" Season 3. However, the actress that played Rebecca Yedlin apparently fell in love with her "Wayward Pines" character.

The Indian Express cites that "Wayward Pines" Season 3 star Nimrat Kaur believes in falling in love before committing to a project. The appeal of Rebecca Yedlin to Nimrat Kaur is the challenge of an unfamiliar role in an unfamiliar genre with an unfamiliar set of cast.

According to Nimrat Kaur, the "Wayward Pines" Season 3 star has never before taken on a role similar to Rebecca Yedlin. So much so that Nimrat Kaur says the character of Rebecca Yedlin had been quite out of the "Wayward Pines" Season 3 star's comfort zone.
