Johnny Depp To Star In “Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them” Sequel; Harry Potter Fans Angry?

Johnny Depp is all set to play a part in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2." The Harry Potter spinoff film has found a perfect role that Johnny Depp can fill.

Johnny Depp never hid his love of children's literature and English accents. It is recently reported that the Newt Scamander film, "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them" is going to expand into five full films. This leaves Johhny Depp with plenty of roles to play from. It is not revealed yet as to which character he will portray in "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them 2." It is also rumored that Depp will do a cameo in the November 18th release, reported Nerdist.

It all seemed rosy until the Harry Potter community stirred after the news that Jonny Depp will be cast in "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them" was revealed. It is evident that the nasty divorce and domestic violence allegations lodged against Johnny Depp by Amber Heard has affected his acceptance among the family-friendly movie lovers.

There were many Harry Potter fans that were indifferent to the news. Many were not excited. Worse, many were angry. It is noted that most of the displeasure came from the female fans. They found it unbelievable that Depp was considered for a role in the series after the personal drama that he displayed, reported Mercury News.

Fans took to Twitter and other social media to express their displeasure. It seemed that Johnny Depp has now lost the charm that he had gathered after his most notable role as Captain Jack Sparrow in "The Pirates of the Caribbean."

However, it should be noted that the reactions of Potter fans to the Depp casting news are "instantaneous." This might not actually translate to the doom for the franchise. Even in the past, audiences have ignored the personal problems of celebrities. Hope 'magic' works for Depp.
