‘Netflix’ Adds Offline Playback Support Features: Avid Subscribers Are On The Watch

"Netflix", one of the most popular, if not the leading online video streaming services falls behind in terms of offering offline playback of videos for avid viewers to continue watching favorites shows even without an internet connection. But that is about to change, very soon.

Tech Times spills that "Netflix" has been very busy to come up with a new feature. Rumors have it that this new add-on will allow users to play videos offline. That also means "Netflix" will soon open its tremendous collection of clips readily available for downloading!

Chief Content Officer of "Netflix", Ted Sarandos explained that internet speed and Wi-Fi access varies among territories. "Netflix" develops its offline playback feature to reach out to viewers from countries who may not have been afforded the luxury of a fast and stable internet connection.

It can be recalled that in 2014, former "Netflix" executive Redd Hastings publicly expressed his stand against offline streaming since he believed people always had and always will have internet connections anytime, anywhere.

The Next Web noted that excitement has been building up ever since April of this year as "Netflix" hinted a change of heart towards their opinion on offline playback. Adding this up to Sarandos' take on the matter strongly construe the rise of offline playback in Netflix's list of top priorities.

Tech Times further reports that "Netflix" has invested about $6 billion to push and encourage the creation of new shows. Online video streaming is a blockbuster hit since most if not all of today's citizens juggle through hectic daily schedules that deny the luxury of following TV series in their schedules.

Through "Netflix," viewers can now easily choose what to watch at their own convenient time. Plus, with Netflix's offline playback, there will be no more cries for disconnected or ridiculously sloppy internet as rumors report further suggest that "Netflix" will offer its offline playback within the next two to three months! Whose excited?
