Barcelona Had Swooped Game Over Sevilla With 2-1 Victory: Lionel Messi Got A Yellow Card For Putting His Boot Back

Barcelona Football Club's victory last night was not easy as it seems from their previous games. While Sevilla Football Club had the first blood and had put some heavy pressure on Barcelona, star player Lionel Messi and Luiz Suarez gave a swooped comeback and had 2-1 victory.

According to Mirror, the opening goal happened when Pablo Sarabia fed a perfect timing pass to Vitolo, which Barcelona defender Sergi Roberto failed to cut out. The Sevilla forward ran into the box and fired past Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Stegen.

Sevilla Football Club should have doubled their goal when Sarabia was played in. However, Sarabia bizarrely chose to backheel the ball rather than finished the goal by himself to keep up the gaping.

Sky Sports reported that Barcelona moved in and encountered Sevilla within two points. Lionel Messi scored for Barcelona's first goal and created the second for Luis Suarez after Vitolo handed Sevilla a deserved lead.

During the game, referee Santiago Jaime Latre ridiculously filed a yellow to the Barcelona Lionel Messi for wasting the game time as he tried to put his shoe back after being fouled by Steven N'Zonzi.

A brief statement was released on Monday that the club had presented an appeal against the yellow card that Leo Messi received on Sunday in the match against Sevilla at the Sanchez Pizjuan.

The Blaugrana felt that the decision seemed incorrect as Steven N'Zonzi foul damaged Messi's boot, meaning Messi wasn't able to put his shoe back on right away.

As per Jaime Latre's request, Messi did eventually leave the pitch to sort out his boot problem on the sideline, but not before the card had been brandished.

Suarez's winner ensured that Barcelona Football Club became the first side this season to beat Sevilla Football Club at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.

The result leaves Sevilla Football Club rank in fifth place, while Barcelona Football Club head into the international break in second behind Real Madrid Football Club.
