Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder will be reuniting for the series finale, "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 as a tribute to "Delena" fans who have been anxiously waiting for their reunion. However, this possible reunion between the former couple has allegedly stirred up some marital problems between Somerhalder and his wife, Nikki Reed.

This may be the reason Somerhalder gushed about his wife during a recent interview when he was asked about his plans following "TVD" Season 8. According to People, Somerhalder was considering starting a family with Reed once he and the rest of the cast are done filming.

"Once I'm not on set for 15 hours a day, five days a week, that frees up a lot of time," he explained. "I'm excited about it!"

Many fans took this as a sign that Somerhalder was trying to reassure Reed that his reunion with Dobrev in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 will not affect them. Many fans can recall that Somerhalder and Dobrev broke up because the latter was allegedly not ready to settle down.

Meanwhile, MailOnline reports that Somerhalder and Reed do not seem to be affected by the nonstop divorce rumors about them. The couple was recently seen together at the 4th Recognizing Heroes Awards Dinner in Dallas.

As most fans of the couple know, Somerhalder and Reed have been very active on raising their causes. Even "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 actress Kat Graham gushed about the couple and said that their passion for helping others, including animals, is what makes them perfect together.
