‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 8 Episode 4 'An Eternity Of Misery' Recap: 'TVD' Goes To Hell Literally [Video]

“The Vampire Diaries” episode 4 of season 8 starts off with a flashback on how hell was created. Seems a pretty legit way to start the show, right?

Here’s where it starts. The flashback is set sometime in 750 B. C. when Arcadius, known as Cade, (Wolé Parks), a psychic, is talking to the men in the village warning them not to fantasize about the young women.

When the people were full of Cade’s (Parks) warnings, they set him on fire. And yes, hell was created when Cade sent a shock wave to the town while he was burning, TV Guide recaps.

But this isn’t the best part of the story. The flashback in this episode of “The Vampire Diaries” is told between two women.

As the camera zooms out, the two are on an island, which means to say they’re Sirens. That’s something “The Vampire Diaries” has always been proud and full of; surprises.

The story’s important because the two girls are Sybil (Nathalie Kelley) and Seline (Kristen Gutoskie). Seline sold their souls to Arcadius to save Sybil’s life when she tried killing herself.

In exchange for beauty, youth, and immortality. They feed on flesh to do this and the souls of their victims is collected Arcadius, as the devil in “The Vampire Diaries.”

Now, TVDs’ Sybil (Kelley) asks whether Stefan (Paul Wesley) whether he’s ready to do the right thing as he was the one who turned Damon (Ian Somerhalder). Of course, Stefan says yes, EW recaps.

Back to Damon (Somerhalder), he’s trying to find an heirloom for Sybil. In the course, he had killed Tyler (Michael Trevino) and almost killed Pete (Joel Gretsch), too, in this episode of “The Vampire Diaries.”

The question from “The Vampire Diaries” fans now is what will Stefan do as Damon’s fate has already been sealed? And why is Sybil after an heirloom?
