With a couple of star players in San Antonio Spurs retiring next season, NBA trade rumors in the team were never new to them. Golden State Warriors Stephen Curry and Los Angeles Clippers Blake Griffin will probably fit the gap for the Spurs.

Morning USA News reported that the San Antonio Spurs 39-year-old Manu Ginobili and 34-year-old Tony Parker are both likely to call it a day after this coming season. Parker, on the other hand, will enter the last year of his contract in the 2017-2018 seasons.

The head coach of Spurs Gregg Popovich seems to position the team to form a Big 3 with Kawhi Leonard, LaMarcus Aldridge, and an all-star caliber point guard Stephen Curry to join them. But the chances seem too shallow for it to happen.

According to HNGN report, critics also had pointed out that the Golden State Warriors Stephen Curry might join the Cleveland Cavaliers if they lose to the Cavs again in the NBA Finals this season. The team up between Stephen Curry and LeBron James will be very deadly to the any NBA team. Both of them are the front feature of the NBA and best players in the world. And if Curry and James really unite in one team, claiming the NBA Championship title will be easy as cake.

However, trade rumors in Los Angeles involved the exchange of their power forward Clippers Blake Griffin with the Spurs forward Pau Gasol.

Mobile & Apps also reported that Los Angeles Clippers might trade their Blake Griffin sooner than expected as he will be an unrestricted free agent in 2018. The 27-year-old player also has another option: by terminating his contract with the Clippers early in the 2017-2018 NBA season.

With this result, few reports claimed that the Clippers will trade Blake Griffin to the San Antonio Spurs team in order to receive a talented player like Gasol instead. Adding an old veteran player will provide the Clippers with added depth in the frontcourt. And with Gasol's brilliant defensive and offensive skills, his presence will help them through a tough competition in the NBA league.
