‘Scorpion’ Season 3, Episode 9 Spoilers & Promo: Paige’s Mother Has A Warning! Walter & Tim Friends Despite Love Triangle?

Next week's episode of "Scorpion" Season 3 will showcase the return of Paige's (Katharine McPhee) mother. The woman's comeback, however, comes with a sinister warning that could endanger people's lives.

Episode nine of "Scorpion" Season 3 titled "Mother Load" will feature Lea Thompson as Paige's estranged mother, Veronica. The latter "calls on Team Scorpion when she accidentally uncovers a forgotten nuclear reactor on the verge of exploding," SpoilerTV reported. Veronica is a grifter or a con artist, which means that there could be something more behind this case.

"Mother Load" of "Scorpion" Season 3 airs on Monday, Nov. 21 at 10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT at on CBS. Watch the promo below.

Veronica will dip her feet into Paige's somewhat messy love life involving Walter (Elyes Gabel) and Tim (Scott Porter). Both men are vying for Paige's love and Veronica is on Walter's side. Veronica would even impart some knowledge on Walter about how to court her daughter, Parent Herald previously reported.

Walter and Tim may be geared towards romantic rivalry but last week's "Scorpion" episode proved that a bromance could be in store for the two. Toby (Eddie Kaye Thomas) devised a plan to get Walter and Tim to work together and the partnership turned out to be a success, with the men solving the case, according to BuddyTV.

Being friends with the all-American Tim can be good for Walter and his quest to adapt to a normal life. The two men also have similarities that can be a formula for a good friendship.

Aside from their affection for Paige, Walter and Tim also share the same belief in the greater good. Tim is a Homeland trainee and former NAVY Seal. Walter grows with the help of human interaction and Tim (the man Paige is currently with) can help him to someday become the man that Paige deserves.

As for the other "Scorpion" characters, Toby and Happy (Jadyn Wong) are getting married. Sylvester (Ari Stidham), meanwhile, is running for alderman. There are no concrete answers yet for "Scorpion" viewers who are wondering about the show's future. TVLine's 2017 renewal scorecard said that it's "too early to tell" whether "Scorpion" is getting picked up for Season 4.
