Marvel’s ‘The Defenders’ Spoilers & Trailer: New Set Photos Assemble Jessica Jones, Trish, Luke Cage & Misty Knight! Heroes Fighting Typhoid Mary?

New set photos from Marvel's "The Defenders" have surfaced online recently. The snapshots showcased Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Misty Knight (Simone Missick).

"The Defenders" will bring together the street-level heroes of Marvel TV: Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Daredevil (Charlie Cox), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones). The eight-episode series will air on Netflix in 2017. Check out the new set photos below. More images are available on ComingSoon.net.

"The Defenders" will bring together characters already introduced on "Daredevil," "Jessica Jones," and "Luke Cage." That includes Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple), Scott Glenn (Stick), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elodie Yung (Elektra), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Eka Darville (Malcolm), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), and probably Jon Bernthal (The Punisher), Parent Herald previously reported.

Jessica Henwick of the yet to be released "Iron Fist" will reprise her role as Colleen Wing on "The Defenders," according to a separate report from ComingSoon.net. Actress Sigourney Weaver is also in the cast as the still unnamed main villain.

The Defenders will be facing the ominous villainous group, The Hand, Entertainment Weekly reported. On "Daredevil" Season 2, The Hand was seen recovering the corpse of Elektra, who was later revealed as the group's secret weapon called The Black Sky.

Apparently, Elektra's The Black Sky identity strengthened her killer instincts. It remains to be seen whether The Black Sky would be a huge threat on "The Defenders" or not.

There are speculations that the Marvel Comics character, Typhoid Mary, would be a villain on "The Defenders" and some reports claimed that she was referenced in the recently released movie "Doctor Strange" starring Benedict Cumberbatch. For those unacquainted with the character, Typhoid Mary originally went by the name Mary Walker, a normal young woman working in a brothel in New York's criminal community, according to Screen Rant.

Mary had died in an accident in the hands of Daredevil and it made her suffer from dissociative identity disorder. She has three abnormal personalities: Mary is the timid result of an abusive childhood; Typhoid is the sensual, femme fatale, while Bloody Mary is a violent and man-hating woman with telekinetic, psychic, and pyromancy abilities.

What do you think of "The Defenders" so far? What would become of Elektra? Are you excited to see the rumored villain Typhoid Mary? Share your thoughts below.
