AMD’s Latest Software, Fixes ‘Civ 6’ and ‘Titanfall 2,’ ‘Overwatch’ and ‘Fifa 17’ Remain Unchanged?

The Radeon Software Crimson Edition version 16.11.4 went live for AMD GPU users. The latest driver download claims to fix a couple of problems for PC owners who has the Radeon R9 Fury series GPUs installed that may suffer minor graphical corruption during gameplay of "Titanfall 2." The new driver is said to give additional support for "Civ 6" or "Civilization 6."

The AMD's latest driver features fast high-speed game loading with Shader Cache, Frame Pacing: smoother gaming enhancements enabled on DirectX® 9 games, enhanced image quality for 1080p media content scaled to 4K using adaptive directional filtering technology, AMD FreeSyncTM technology enhancements, including AMD CrossFireTM support for DirectX 9 games, and low frame rate compensation for smoother gameplay when below the minimum refresh rate. The Radeon Software Crimson Edition has three basic goals, which are stability, performance and features, based on the AMD website.

Unfortunately, AMD's latest driver may have fixed "Titanfall's" issue, but some big title games are still having issues when installing in a PC equipped with an AMD GPU. Examples of these games are "Doom," which may experience a crash when using the Vulkan API on some Graphics Core Next products, "Overwatch" may experience in the main menu or viewing character models using AMD CrossFire mode and "Fifa 17" may experience application hang or black screen on launch for some select Hybrid Graphics or AMD PowerXpress mobile configurations, according to Tom's Hardware.

AMD's Radeon Software Crimson Edition was said to be the company's latest innovation. AMD's new software was designed to have a simple user-friendly interface to boost gaming experience with a touch of a button. The requirements for big title games are increasing each year. AMD's efforts to provide solutions and enhancement to their products have never been more active. Although AMD is no comparison to Intel GPU's, it's still considered as an alternative for the budget conscious consumer.
