‘Persona 5’ Cancels Valentines Day Launch, Will The Game Be Worth it?

The developers of the JRPG "Persona 5" announced that the game's Valentines Day release is not going to happen. The game launch will be moved in April.

The Good news in relation to the delay is that the game will come equipped with a Dual-Language feature. The player can switch from Japanese to English in the options menu. "Persona 5" is actually the sixth installment in the Persona Series. The reason being is that the second installment called Persona 2 came out in two entirely different games called Persona 2: Innocent Sin and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment.

"Persona 5" was announced in 2013 and was delayed for its scheduled 2014 release for content improvement. The game was then scheduled for a 2016 release and even posted a countdown in April 2016 which counted down to May 5, 2016.  "Persona 5" was released in Japan on September 25, 2016. During the E3 2016 convention, another launch date was announced by the developers for the western release, the date was February 14, 2016, which was recently changed to April 2016, according to Eurogamer.

The Persona series focuses on the pursuit of freedom from limitations present within the modern society. Games like "Persona 5" is sub-series derived from a larger series called Megami Tensei or Rebirth of a Goddess when translated.

The Characters in "Persona 5" are presented in an anime type of visualization represented by characters modeled after modern students. The game is a combination between the supernatural and the real world. Social simulation and exploration are just some of Person 5's elements which consume multiple hours of gameplay.

It seems that the cancellation of scheduled game launch or release is getting more and more frequent these days. One reason could be that the developers are really making use of the current technology to maximize the next-gen console's capability. Even so, canceling a scheduled release date can fan out the excitement or in some cases the opposite. Whatever the reason is, "Persona 5" is going to come out sooner or later and when that happens, the question whether the delay was worth it will finally be answered.
