‘Limitless’ To Continue On Netflix? Here's What Showrunner Says

Several months ago, CBS decided to cancel "Limitless" Season 2 because of various reasons. The ratings of "NCIS," another crime series from the network eventually overpowered the now-canceled show and reportedly hurt the station.

Some good news awaken the interest of the people surrounding the "Limitless" Season 2 cancellation. Glenn Geller, president of CBS Entertainment made an official response about the matter that "Limitless" Season 2 could potentially go to another network, Deadline reported. 

One of the potential networks as perceived by CBS to continue "Limitless" Season 2 is Netflix.  The popular streaming network has been critically known to pursue movies and series which they see potentials.

Showrunner Craig Sweeney said via Twitter that the he was saddened by the announcement but still positive about the potentials of "Limitless." This was made in conjunction of the ratings of the "Limitless" Season 1 which only earned 1.2 percent in contrast to "NCIS" which has 2.2 percent and "NCIS: New Orleans" which has 1.8 percent, Hollywood Reporter noted.

 "Limitless" is based from the movie with the same title released in 2014 with Alex Kurtzman and Bob Orci as executive producer. The movie starred Bradley Cooper who is now serving as the Executive Producer and recurring guest star of the series.

"Limitless," just like its movie version follows a man with an enhanced brain capacity because of a drug he took. The story basically evolves on the same story line with an expanded plot.

In total, CBS canceled four out of its seven new shows. Aside from "Limitless," CBS also called off the comedy series "Angel From Hell", "Supergirl" (now moved to The CW) and "Rush Hour" while renewing the shows "Life in Pieces," "Code Black" and "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders."
