Nintendo Switch Update: Mario And Rabbids Crossover RPG In The Works? [Rumors]

The mystery of the Nintendo Switch has yet to be solved, but updates from different developers supporting the upcoming console are frequent. With the confirmation that the "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is not going to be Nintendo Switch's launch title, another mystery is baffling the Nintendo community.

One of the most recent rumors circulating the gaming populace is the development of a Mario and Rabbids RPG crossover. The RPG is said to be undergoing development within the studios of Ubisoft, according to Digital Trends.

These wild and crazy bunch of cretinous rabbits can be considered as France's version of minions. "Raving Rabbids" is one of Ubisoft's party game spin-off from the "Rayman" series, which was published by Nintendo. Introduced in "Rayman 2," the popularity of these bunnies led the developers to create the "Raving Rabbids," a party game series, which sold 14 million units worldwide, according to Ubisoft's facts and figures.

Mario, on the other hand, needs no introduction. This Nintendo mascot can sell almost anything with his name on it. The "Mario" series currently holds the title of the best-selling video game series in history with 528.522 million copies sold since its release on July 9, 1981. The combination of Mario's agility and the Rabbids' stupidity will produce an awesome RPG crossover game filled with humor and mini-games.

Although "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is still the number one choice for Nintendo Switch's title, Mario or the Rabbids has never let their company down when it comes to sales. The combination of Mario and the Rabbids would be a great fit for both single player and party theme for the upcoming console. An RPG that features two of the best-selling party characters in the industry is not going to be ignored by the Nintendo community.
