5 Interesting Theories On ‘Who Killed Wes’ In HTGAWM

Wes is dead. But who was the person behind his murder? This was the most important, burning question the showrunners have left for the winter finale of "How to Get Away with Murder" Season 3 before the show returns for its second half in January.

During the HTGAWM Season 3 midseason finale, Nate (Billy Brown) found the half-burnt body of Wes (Alfred Enoch) lying inside the morgue [see Wes' half-burnt body as posted by Yahoo TV]. Who killed him and why burn his body? Is this a way to seek revenge and then tried burn his body to cover any trace? Here are the top five interesting suspects who might be behind the death of Wes.

There are a number of people whom Wes have offended during the past two-and-a-half seasons. TV Guide listed several names that may have plotted and executed the death of Wes. But here are the leading candidates who may be behind Wes' death.

5.) Annalise (Viola Davis)

She was shocked with the news of Wes' death. But that doesn't mean she's not guilty. During HTGAWM Season 2, Wes found out that Annalise is somehow connected with his mother's suicide. Annalise might have thought Wes is a ticking time bomb. And perhaps Annalise learned somehow that Wes was the anonymous police source as revealed during Episode 7 "Call It Mother's Intuition."

4.) Connor (Jack Falahee)

It's all about hate-hate relationship, and Connor never liked Wes from the beginning. There may never has any real reason for Connor to kill Wes, nevertheless, there's no reason why he will not do it. Of course, the show is about mystery, and probably the real reason about Connor's hate of Wes may have never been revealed for now, but who knows.

3.) Frank (Charlie Weber)

The man capable of doing anything, notice how Frank is not present for the most of the winter finale. If something has gone wrong, it's always that a piece of Frank is present in the crime scene.

2.) Nate (Billy Brown)

Nate was seen entering Annalise's house before the bomb destroyed the latter's house. Laurel (Laurel Castillo), who also got into Annalise's before the detonation happened, got hurt and was brought to the hospital; however, Nate is unscathed. He was the one who identified the half-burnt body of Wes, and he was seen telling Annalise that Wes was already dead before the bombing happened. How did he know this?

And on the top spot is no other than Laurel herself. Being a victim from the blazing house is not an excuse, Laurel was definitely the last person to see Wes, dead or alive. But if that's the case, how did she kill Wes, and what is her motive, still no one knows.
