‘Pokemon GO’ News, Latest Tricks, Tips: Do You Really Want THIS Niantic Update? Lapras Spawning Immediately Halted In Japan?

"Pokemon GO," from Niantic Labs and The Pokemon Company, has a new Combat Power (CP) affecting update, which some Pokemon trainers may see as a double-edged sword. While Pokemon as Alakazam, Rhydon, and Genga will directly benefit from this Niantic Labs update release, other "Pokemon GO" monsters will have a less potency in battle.

GameSpot cites announcement by Niantic Labs that the changes to Pokemon CP targets leveling the playing field. Pokemon trainers should be able to appreciate this new update particularly in "Pokemon GO" gym battles.

By balancing out CP across various Pokemon, Niantic Labs hopes to improve "Pokemon GO" gym battle experience. Niantic Labs promises that more Pokemon CP changes are forthcoming in new updates.

While this is a beneficial update for Pokemon trainers as a whole, "Pokemon GO" players who invested – and came to rely – on favorites may think otherwise. Okatukart presents a list of Pokemon that are affected by the "Pokemon GO" CP changes.

As reported, the Pokemon CP increase from the "Pokemon GO" update applies to Gyrados, Vaporeon, Flareon, Jolteon, Starmie, Aerodactyl, Machamp and Primeape among others. Pokemon CP decrease affected Exeggutor, Charmeleon, Blastoise, Ninetales, Magikarp and Dragonair among others.

Meanwhile, "Pokemon GO" Lapras spawning in the Fukushima and Iwate Prefectures has been halted in lieu of Tsunami warnings as Okatukart reports. Japan was hit by a 7.4-magnitude earthquake on Nov 22, in these particular Prefectures. As Parent Herald cites, Niantic Labs triggered a Lapras spawning event in the Prefectures in Japan that were affected by the 2011 Tsunami.

The "Pokemon GO" event drew tourists, not just from Japan but also from other countries into these coastlines. Niantic Labs had intended to run the Lapras spawning event for Pokemon hunters until Nov 23.
