‘Winnie The Pooh’ Movie News & Updates: Classic Animated Film In Production Already, Plot Revealed!; Learn The Details Here [SPOILERS]

The House of Mouse is on a roll with live-action adaptations of their classic animated films. Following the success of "Maleficent" and the release of the official trailer of the much awaited "Beauty and the Beast" movie comes another classic animated film "Winnie the Pooh".

The movie will not be carrying the title "Winnie the Pooh" instead it will be called "Christopher Robin". According to The Hollywood Reporter and as the name suggests, the story will focus on the life of Robin as an adult.

The all-grown-up Robin, with his happy imaginations, faded away in time is now a business man who is more focused on his work than with his wife and daughter. This caused his family relationships to be on the verge of getting ruined and the last thing he needs is Pooh, who is in dire need of his help to find his [Pooh] friends.

In an article published by Movie Web, it reports that Brigham Taylor who produced Disney's "The Jungle Book", will also be the one producing "Christopher Robin" with the script written by Alex Ross Perry. The story, although classic is such a challenge because it should bring about strong magical realism mixed with the main goal being an emotional journey while still maintaining the heartwarming adventure feel that "Winnie the Pooh" is known for.

Disney has also confirmed that they have chosen the "World of War Z" director, Marc Forster to direct the "Winnie the Pooh" live-action movie. Marc Forster is also known to have directed, "The Kite Runner", "Quantum of Solace", "Stranger than Fiction", "Finding Neverland" among others which show how diverse his portfolio is.

Disney's "Winnie the Pooh" movie will be the family-friendly version of the famous adult comedy Ted and promises to be true to its adorable character in its original animated version. On this note, Disney studios are reportedly cooking up live-action films for "The Lion King", considering making "The Little Mermaid" and already developing a sequel to "The Jungle Book".
