'Black Mirror' Season 4 Air Date, Latest Update, News: Netflix Series Easter Eggs Theories Busted By Charlie Brooker - BUT Not All?

"Black Mirror" Season 4 follows a wake of Easter egg buzz generated by new episodes released by producers Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones on Netflix. While the Easter egg hunt by "Black Mirror" fans seems to be fruitful, creator Charlie Brooker busted the more popular theories from these - but not all.

The Huffington Post cites fan excitement that the past three seasons of "Black Mirror" may have happened in a shared universe. The media outlet reports that Charlie Brooker clarified that the "Black Mirror" Easter eggs were never meant to indicate any conscious attempt of creating a shared universe for the Netflix series.

Tons of "Black Mirror" Easter eggs do exist, but Charlie Brooker highlights that they were brought into the episodes more for practicality than any kind of significance. As The Huffington Post cites, Charlie Brooker confessed that a large number of "Easter eggs" came through reuse of footages from previous episodes. Some "Black Mirror" are, indeed, intentional but - again - with no motivation to indicated a single universe for the Netflix series.

Nonetheless, Charlie Brooker admitted that he and the team behind "Black Mirror" enjoy weaving these Easter eggs into the episodes. Among other things, these Easter eggs are simply meant to mess with viewers' heads.

The Daily Dot cites Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) revelations by Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones particularly about "Black Mirror" Season 3 episode "Playtest," which was intended to be haunted house themed. In Charlie Brooker's original draft, Cooper (Wyatt Russell) was supposed to see characters and things from previous episodes of earlier "Black Mirror" seasons with the purpose of eventually breaking the fourth wall with the viewers.

While this had been a complicated Easter egg for "Black Mirror" Season 3, Charlie Brooker revealed that the plan is bookmarked for future episodes. "Black Mirror" Season 4 is anticipated from Netflix by Fall of 2017.
