"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 spoilers reveal that Nina Dobrev's return to The CW series has been hinted in the latest episode of the show. According to Unreality TV, the latest episode seemingly gave out a strong clue as to which character Dobrev will be reprising when she returns to the drama.

The publication notes that there was a scene in "TVD" Season 8 where Georgie was dragged away to hell, which was done in the same fashion as Katherine's exit in the previous seasons. Many fans reportedly noticed the resemblance between both scenes and it turns out it was not a coincidence.

In an interview with series creator Julie Plec, she teased that the similarities between these two scenes "are not accidental." This means that "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 may be featuring a return of Katherine instead of Elena Gilbert.

"Can you earn your way back out of a one-way ticket to Hell," she further teased.
