Gigi Hadid AMA Joke: Zayn Malik's Lady-love Apologizes To Melania Trump?

Gigi Hadid did some impersonation on Melania Trump on the recent American Music Awards. It resulted in controversy in the internet world and show business world. Some fans find it racism. The actress used an Eastern European fake accent to impersonate the soon-to-be-First lady of USA.

During the American Music Awards, Gigi Hadid pouted her lips and quoted, "I love my husband, President Barack Obama and our children Sasha and Malia." Zayn Malik's girl, though, apologized on her Twitter account post last Monday.

According to Mail Online, Gigi did this to refer on the accusation that Melania plagiarized Michelle Obama's speech during the Republican National Convention.

Gigi, who co-hosted the AMA together with SNL Jay Pharoah sent an apology letter where she started her letter with how she was honored to host the AMAs that night and work with some of the most respected writers in the business.

She added, "I removed or changed anything in the script that I felt took the joke too far, and whether or not you choose to see it, what remained was done in good humor with no bad intent."

Gigi also added that she has been a center of a nationally televised comedy skit that poked her actions and was able to find humor in it. In the handwritten note, she also stated that she believes Donald Trump's wife will understand the show business and the way it is written and run.

Then Gigi concluded in her letter with an apology to anyone who was offended. The model said she has her best wishes for the country.

For the skit that Gigi was talking about was the comedy skit for "Saturday Night Live" that aired last October that makes fun of Taylor Swift and the squad. It is up to the people affected if Gigi apology in letter and in her tweet would be enough. Share your thought and comments on this issue in the comment section.
