Grieving Family Of Good Samaritan Father Started GoFundMe Page For Their Dad’s Funeral Expenses

The grieving family of a Good Samaritan father, who was killed and shot in Walmart last Black Friday, now seeks financial to fund funeral expenses. In doing so, the family made a 'GoFundMe' page to raise money that will cover their father's funeral expenses. Any donations will significantly help the entire family in hard time like this.

Police reported that Isidro Zarate, 39 and a father-of-four, was gunshot and killed last Friday, Nov. 25 in Walmart while helping an abused woman. Police investigators told the widow wife of Zarate that her husband was gunshot at the neck and died almost right away.

Lisa Benavides, wife of the late Isidro Zarate, shared that her husband has been the strength and the light of her 22 years of existence in this world. She also said that her husband was the love of her life and was her other half. And now that her husband has passed away, she admitted that she does not know what she's going to do.

"He would constantly try to talk it out, not to get too out of hand. He was always trying to calm everybody down," KVUE quoted Benavides as saying. Also she added that her husband was not any fighter but was a man who would crack jokes and talk a lot.

Meanwhile, the police arrested the killer and took him into the custody. The killer was charged with murder as well as aggravated attack with a lethal weapon.

Now, Zarate's grieving family members told KENS 5 last Sunday, Nov. 27, that they established a funding webpage in order to cover the expenses of their father's funeral as he did not get a life insurance. In the page, the niece of the Zarate said that: "Covering the funeral expenses is an extra worry on our shoulders, on top of the grief we are experiencing." The niece added that the family is asking for prayers and donations in any amount in hopes to assist the family without the stress of expenditures and how Zarate is going to be buried.
