Can Pregnancy Politics Affect Expectant Parents? One Dad Shares His Own Experience

Having a baby is definitively good news! However, it can be frustrating if the news has been spilled out before the parents had. This is how one dad felt when his pediatrician friend, who was assigned to the hospital where his wife gave birth to their new baby, leaked the gender of their baby even before he reached the hospital and told his family and friends about the good news.

In Reddit, one dad wrote about one of his greatest milestones in life which have been spoiled. The father wrote: "Our friend the pediatrician told everyone in the waiting room the joyful news... I was unaware, so our friends and family pretended to hear it for the first time when I arrived shortly after that."

The pediatrician discovered about the sex of the baby when he asked a nurse about the time the baby was born. Immediately the pediatrician shared the good news with the child's family and friends of the parents who were waiting outside the delivery room even before the dad told them.

The father said that honestly before he knew what his friend has done, he looked at that very moment as easily one of his top five best experiences of his life. However now it has been tainted. The dad asked if he's unreasonable for feeling betrayed as well as putting so much emphasis on this matter.

He is not alone. This occurrence also happened to famous stars like Liam Payne and Cheryl Cole. According to The Sun, Brian Friedman, the X Factor choreographer, has slipped in an interview that the couple now has a child together. In the interview as per The Sun, Friedman said: "And now they're having a baby together, so they found something great." However, the couple had not yet officially confirmed nor denied the issue.

Social media has made pregnancy politics even worse, according to the author of "The Positive Birth Book," Milli Hill. She added that it's wrong for folks who are not parents to break or leak any news about the baby. However, for several people who have leaked news about the new baby, it's a genuine, honest mistake.
