Showering Homeless Children With The Everlasting Love Of Books

Books are the road to a new journey, an entrance to a new world. Words have the power to create magic in the minds of the readers. Books can inspire, educate and most importantly cam make people visionary.

In this time of overwhelming technology, the love for books should be preserved. It is indispensable to teach young children the value of reading. The New York Times shares a story of such a man, who not only loves books but also a huge advocate for encouraging children to do the same.

A librarian, Colbert Nembhard has been voluntarily reading stories and singing songs for homeless children in a shelter house, Cortonna Inn for the past eight years.

New York city is accused of not providing proper education to homeless children but the Bronx librarian is setting examples for others that teaching children the love of books and pointing them in the right direction is actually practicable.

Mr Nembhard is very famous among kids and they eagerly wait the new stories and songs from their book friend. Mothers of these children and the coordinator of the shelter home find Nembhard's work inspirational and fun filled.

The librarian shares a special bond with all the children and also wanted them to have a special relationship with the libraries. A huge number of parents and children became members of the library where Nembhard's been working.

Libraries are evolving, truthout tells that a library in San Fransisco city Lafayette, has became more than just a library, it is serving as a community centre. The library building is huge and has areas where presentations and classes could be held. People can benefit in many ways from these buildings. City council meetings are also held in the library.

A new form of libraries is also becoming popular, a pop up library which can be made by taking the books to an open area for a limited time and putting them in order, so that anyone who is interested in borrowing a book can be benefitted.
