‘No Man’s Sky’ New Feature Updates: Guide to Building Bases & Getting Around Its Limitations; See Other Features of Foundation Update

The Foundation Update of 'No Man's Sky' just recently introduced a base building feature. It allows players to develop structures in a planet they visit. This new feature, however, has its limits.

Players can now start building their homes in other planets. Now, how exactly can this be done?

First of all, players need to locate an abandoned base in a planet using a scanner. After landing near the base, visit the building and claim it. There are materials and ingredients for building bases.

In the Normal or Survival Mode, the player will be the one to scavenge and find materials needed to start building bases. For the Creative Mode, it allows gamers to build a base even without ingredients and materials.

After collecting the materials and ingredients, you can snap each of the pieces together. Players can build structures, infrastructures, containers, decals, decals, cuboid rooms, farming, tech, decorations, specialist terminals, lights and room parts.

Players can also hire NPC specialist to do research and other stuff. If you want to create amazing base camps then NPC Specialist can help make that happen. To hire one of these, players need to go to the Galactic Trade Terminal in the nearest Space Station.

On the other hand, many players are reporting height and range limitations when building a base. There is workaround for this, but it is only available for Windows PC players.

Other additional features in the recent Foundation Update include modifiable freighters for sale, teleporters, changes to user interface and procedural generation, inventory stacking, some new graphic settings and leave messages for other players to find. All these new additions are still small updates in preparation for bigger features to come according to the statement previously released for Foundation Update

According to Forbes, there are still a lot more room for improvement such as the letterboxing, better stacking for resources and ship controls, rebalancing of elemental systems, and planet and biome diversity. Perhaps in the coming months and future updates, fans can expect more improvement from Hello Games.
