Why A Child's Higher Education Requires More Planning Than Just Parenting

Educating children is a basic concern for parents who most certainly want their children to become a part of the development in the world. They want them to be successful in their building their future and most importantly, they want them to always be happy.

As far as quality education is concerned, however, it's not the most easily accessible thing for lower middle income households especially in some Asian and South Asian countries. Most students in Asia dream big of obtaining higher education from the U.S and Britain that have quite the reputation for their education systems.

According to the South China Morning Post, Peter Gibney, Director of City and East London residential development with Jones Lang LaSelle, apprised about the new trend of Asian parents buying property in order to get long-term benefits for their children. Gibney further stated that Britain universities like Oxford and Cambridge, are like a dream destination for foreign students, especially for Chinese and Hong Kong learners, as these universities degrees could help them get jobs anywhere in the world.

The parents of such students buy properties in Britain, to accommodate their children and more importantly as an investment for their secure future. They intend to sell them when their children reach universities and that capital could be used in paying their fees.

Edwin Chiu, Managing Director of Vantage Properties considered education a key factor in market economics, and properties near universities are in demand as per student's convenience. People also look for properties with accessible and convenient modes of transportation to reach the schools and universities.

Earlier this year, The Borneo Post considered Brexit an opportunity for property investors. The value of Pound sterling is likely to increase as soon as the economy stabilizes, which could give profits in millions to these investors. Overseas buyers such as Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and China are looking forward to avail this opportunity as it will serve more than one purpose for their children.
