Toddler Dies After Being Hit And Run; Suspect Held In Jail For Only 3 Days

A toddler from Newton died from a hit and run on November 29. A funeral has been made for the baby on December 2 that started at 10 am.

2-year-old Carson Rawls was the victim of driving that took his life on that Saturday evening. In an article published 12NewsNow, the culprit is a 35-year-old Jessica Daniel Frazier from Holly Springs. She was arrested for doing a hit and run and was imprisoned for three days but was sent out on bail worth $100,000.

Theresa Jacobson and Cord Rawls are the parents of the child. They made the funeral arrangements that is located at Call Junction Baptist Church. The child would be buried at the Call Community Cemetery. Daily News and More also cited this story saying that cops in the area were able to identify the person behind this incident eventually. They finally made an arrest after knowing about her. Although she spent three days in jail, she was let go with bail because the investigation was not clear enough if Frazier was even aware that she hit the toddler along the way while she was driving.

Accidents like this are not something new, which is why supervision of parents is a must, especially when we are talking about toddlers. Statistics show that about 1500 people die of hit and run annually. It is a scary number knowing that 6 out of 10 of these fatalities are injured in pedestrians. That is an alarming fact because the pedestrian should be a safe place for people, but apparently, it is the safest place based on that number.

It is important that parents are always aware of their child's whereabouts, because you'll never know when accidents like this could happen. You can never be too careful when you have a toddler.
