BBC News says that the only case where this drug should not be taken is when a woman is premenopausal. Otherwise this drug avoids, developing a blood clot disease and womb cancer, the two major side effects of breast cancer drugs.

Not only is this drug effective in reducing breast cancer cases, but also is convenient in terms of price. So this drug is effective and cost friendly option. These drugs can be prescribes by the doctors off the label so that women who are unable to access treatment can use it in order to avoid developing breast cancer.

Women avoid medications for breast cancer because of side effects like hot flushes and sweats, but anastrozole does not have any significant side effects. This drug is a convenient option for post menopausal women to avoid breast cancer. People are required to be imparted to imparted education and awareness in this regard.
