Top 10 Most Viewed Movie Trailers In 2016: Check Out What's In!

Before 2016 comes to an end, let us check out the list of movie trailers that have gained the most number of views this year. According to the summary listed by IMDb, the top 10 most viewed movie trailers include "Deadpool," "Captain America: Civil War," "Justice League," "The Assassin's Creed," "The X-Men: Apocalypse," "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," "Sausage Party," "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," "Suicide Squad" and "Hardcore Henry."

"DEADPOOL." Aside from getting much attention, "Deadpool" also earned a high rating of 8.1/10. The movie was released on Feb. 12 and featured Ryan Reynolds in the lead role. The trailer has a mix of humor as Deadpool can be spotted looking amazed at the city buildings while on board a cab.

"CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR." Next on the list is "Captain America: Civil War" which earned an 8.0/10 rating. Released on May 6, the phenomenal movie was led by Captain America (played by Chris Evans) and Iron Man (played by Robert Downey Jr.). The trailer revealed a powerful cast, intense scenes and cinematography.

"X-MEN: APOCALYPSE." Also topping the majority of movie trailers for this year is the "X-Men: Apocalypse," which has received a 7.2/10 rating. The movie, released on May 27, also hosted a powerful line-up of stars like James McAvoy (Professor Charles Xavier), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Nicholas Hoult (Beast) and Oscar Isaac (Apocalypse). The trailer featured massive destructions as Apocalypse, the first mutant, tried to put the world into extinction.

"JUSTICE LEAGUE." Another superhero movie "Justice League" gained much attention as it featured several of the most popular superheroes of all time. Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavil), The Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and Wonder Woman were featured in one movie trailer, in their human and superhero forms. The trailer became extra special as it featured Gal Gadot, the new actress that portrayed the role of Wonder Woman.

"ASSASSIN'S CREED." Furthermore, the upcoming movie "Assassin's Creed" has already landed the top 10 most viewed movie trailers even this early. Scheduled to be released on Dec. 21, the trailer teased an intense action plot and death-defying stunts, set more than 500 years ago. The movie also features Michael Fassbender (Aguilar), Marion Cotillard (Sofia), Jeremy Irons (Rikkin) and Brendan Gleeson (Joseph Lynch).
