After "Poldark" star Aidan Turner, latest reports now point to "Undisputed" actor Scott Adkins and "Gangster Squad" actor Ryan Gosling as the best candidates to the land the iconic lead star of the anticipated "Bond 007" movie.

SCOTT ADKINS. Known for his hardcore action stunts in the "Undisputed" sequels, Scott Adkins is not just an ordinary actor as he is also a certified martial artist. Adkins' skills as a martial artist is one edge that the actor has to land the "Bond 007" role.

Aside from his physical skills, Scott Adkins is considered the best fit for the James Bond role as he is currently not extremely popular. Fans can recall that the previous actors who portrayed the role of James Bond were not yet famous when they started doing the "Bond 007" film. Actors like Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig both were not very popular yet, prior to doing the "Bond" films.

Apparently, some fans of Ryan Gosling even created a Facebook page named "We Want Ryan Gosling for James Bond."

Ryan Gosling is also believed to be a perfect fit for the role of "Bond 007" as he also possesses the qualities of the iconic detective, being handsome, charming yet rugged. At age 36, the Canadian actor is at the right stage of his life to begin his "Bond 007" series. Gosling has also proven to have fighting skills to portray the role of James Bond, Mediamass noted.
