Natural Cures for Insomnia

Many online apps have been made with a purpose of helping people overcome insomnia. Though some may seem effective and helpful, there are still those who struggle with putting their selves to sleep.

One of the online apps tested is called "Shut-I". And some were given a treatment device but is actually a "Placebo". It was noticed, that the app helped people get over insomnia better. People using the app were asked about the results, wherein it was mentioned that most of them were able to get a peaceful rest in a span of six months.

The app may seem effective, but, does this work for everyone? Does everybody show similar results in fighting insomnia? The group of volunteers that were used for the purpose of testing were motivated. However, the studies and experiments done in Australia, proved that these worked for almost everyone, and also did help in decreasing of depression.

Millions of people have been consuming sleeping pills in order to overcome insomnia, according to Psychology Today. People opt for a sleeping pill, instead of changing their patterns of sleep or instead of doing the suggested cognitive homework.

They find sleeping pills to be easier and simple. However, consumption of sleeping pills increases chance of mortality as compared to those who would go for natural alternatives. It was also mentioned that cardiovascular-related death and complications due to cancer were usually the causes in people consuming sleeping pills.

CBT-I which is only performed online, can not help in dealing with some problems which cause insomnia.  Anxiety, depression and worries are part of the struggles that a person lacking sleep has to endure. CBT-I also needs constant use and reinforcement. People which have to go through insomnia, also have to face many other disorders of sleep. For instance, hypersomnia occurs with insomnia. This is treated with online apps and has a way to prove effectiveness.

The best treatment for insomnia are the cognitive behavioural techniques. These work not only for insomnia but a number of other things as well. They are also very effective. But these should be used for prevention, instead of treatment. These work best when used for prevention.
